Jason Adam Oleet, Managing Director
The Founder and a Managing Director of Oleet & Co., Mr. Oleet has been an investment banker and private equity investor his entire career. At Oleet & Co., Mr. Oleet originates transactions, supports the firm's portfolio companies, and assists corporate and municipal finance advisory clients as they navigate the capital markets. Mr. Oleet has served as a Director of NSA Industries since its acquisition in 2007.
After receiving his A.B. in history from Middlebury College, Mr. Oleet moved to New York to join Deutsche Bank's Industrials Group, where his work covered a diverse range of sophisticated transactions. In 2002, Mr. Oleet returned to Vermont and began work as an advisor to the private equity arm of a Colorado-based family office, a role that he held until he co-founded Worth Mountain Capital Partners, a predecessor firm to Oleet & Co.
Before moving to Burlington in late 2009, Mr. Oleet spent eight years living in Lincoln, Vermont. While a resident of Lincoln, Mr. Oleet served the Town for four years as a delegate to the Addison County Regional Planning Commission, where he was a member of the Commission's Natural Resources Committee during the first revision of the Green Mountain National Forest Plan since the late 1980s. Mr. Oleet has been an active supporter of the Vermont Land Trust, and was appointed in 2007 to the Governor's Commission on the Future of State Parks.
Mr. Oleet spent ten years as an interior structural firefighter, first with the Middlebury Fire Department and then with the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Oleet remains a trustee of the Battell Hose Company.
From 2006 through 2009, Mr. Oleet served on the Board of the Middlebury College Alumni Association.
When not at his office in Burlington, Mr. Oleet can often be found in the Green Mountain National Forest, snowshoeing in the woods of Lincoln or fly fishing in the headwaters of the New Haven River.
Christian T. Anderson, CFA, Principal
At Oleet & Co., Mr. Anderson is responsible for the firm's debt capital markets investment banking activities - advising companies and institutions in structuring and placing credit facilities and in completing bond issuances.
Mr. Anderson has been involved in all aspects of the capital markets for both corporate and commercial real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on alternative finance. Prior to joining Oleet & Co., Mr. Anderson worked in the Commercial Real Estate Group at Deutsche Bank in New York. At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Anderson advised clients on the structure and issuance of capital markets transactions, raised capital for dedicated funds, and completed investment analysis of commercial real estate opportunities.
Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Anderson worked in New York for Wachovia Capital Markets, Eurohypo AG, and Calyon Securities (Crédit Lyonnais) where he advised both domestic and foreign corporations on capital management and commercial real estate investment. Mr. Anderson began his career at Standard & Poor's, where he was responsible for modeling and evaluating commercial real estate capital markets transactions and loans.
Mr. Anderson received a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Miami University of Ohio and a Master's degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University; he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. Anderson, his wife, and their three boys reside in Middlesex, Vermont.
At Oleet & Co., Mr. Bliek is responsible for co-managing the firm's investment banking activities; he also plays a supporting role in the firm's private equity practice.
Prior to joining Oleet & Co., Mr. Bliek was a member of Deutsche Bank's Industrials Group, where he and Mr. Oleet were colleagues. Based first in New York and then in Chicago, Mr. Bliek spent a majority of his time at Deutsche Bank advising clients in the packaging and metals and mining industries. Mr. Bliek's transaction experience is international in scope and spans all aspects of the capital structure, including $12+ billion of bank and bond financing, $1.5+ billion of equity financing, and $300 million of convertible debt financing. Mr. Bliek has also executed over $6+ billion of financial advisory assignments including engagements both as buy side and sell side M&A advisor for both corporate clients and private equity firms.
After a successful career at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Bliek moved to Sydney, Australia, to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations. While there, he co-led the launch of Australian/South Pacific operations for a New York-based marketing firm. Mr. Bliek co-managed day-to-day operations, with efforts focused primarily on supply chain/procurement initiatives and new client development. In the fall of 2008, Mr. Bliek returned to the US to raise his family.
Today, Mr. Bliek resides in Rochester, NY with his wife and daughter; they split their time between Rochester and Burlington, VT. Mr. Bliek is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, where he received his B.A. with a concentration in Finance.
Adam J. Sigrist, Vice President
Adam Sigrist has worked in investment and commercial banking his entire career. At Oleet & Co., Mr. Sigrist is focused on supporting the firm's investment banking clients, with responsibilities that range from idea generation to transaction execution.
After receiving his B.A. in economics from Williams College, Mr. Sigrist was selected as a member of M&T Bank's Management Development Program. In this year-long commercial banking program, Mr. Sigrist received extensive training in credit analysis, corporate finance, and commercial lending.
Following his time with M&T Bank, Mr. Sigrist moved to Boston to join BB&T Capital Markets' Investment Banking Group, a leading middle-market investment banking firm. In his very active tenure with BB&T, Mr. Sigrist executed transactions as buy-side and sell-side advisor to both private equity and corporate clients, as underwriter in public equity offerings, and as advisor in board-level consulting assignments including strategic alternatives analyses and fairness opinions. His clients have included leading middle-market manufacturing, distribution, retailing, restaurant, and business service firms. While with BB&T, Mr. Sigrist was presented with the Sterling Performer Award, given to BB&T's top performing capital markets professionals.
Mr. Sigrist moved to Burlington, Vermont in 2009 by way of a 180-mile hike up the Long Trail. When not in the office, Mr. Sigrist spends much of his free time fly-fishing, hiking, and backpacking throughout northern New England. He also serves as a mentor through King Street Center's Junior-Senior Buddy Program.
Karmen B. Swim, Executive Assistant
Ms. Swim is the Executive Assistant to Oleet & Co.’s Founder and Managing Director. At Oleet & Co., Ms. Swim spends her time supporting Mr. Oleet and other members of the team in their work advising the firm’s investment banking clients. In addition, Ms. Swim is responsible for managing a range of the firm’s day-to-day operations.
A graduate of Champlain College, Ms. Swim has a diverse employment background. She began her career with the Burlington-based law firm of Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, P.C. where she spent more than a decade serving as legal assistant and legal secretary to two of the firm’s partners. Ms. Swim left Dinse to join Bruegger’s Enterprises, Inc., the Burlington-based corporate parent of Bruegger’s Bagels, where for three years she managed the company’s portfolio of more than 250 bakery leases. Most recently, Ms. Swim spent eight years managing a small business in St. Albans, Vermont, where her responsibilities included human resources, accounting, marketing, and day-to-day operations.
A lifelong Vermont resident, Ms. Swim resides in St. Albans with her husband, Michael, and her son, Nick, and daughter, Amanda. Ms. Swim donates her time for charity events within her community, and also coaches young athletes in basketball, baseball, and soccer. When not at work, Ms. Swim enjoys reading, teaching kids, being active outdoors and in the community, hiking, and playing golf.
